Day 1: (Aug 27-30)Introduction
Everyday I will have the lesson plan on this website. Please check this out everyday first thing.
1) Class Website: 1) Go to http://coutsd.weebly.com and bookmark this page. 2) Click on "G8 Science", then “Introduction" 3) Fill in the Student Interest Survey on the right and submit when finished. (Co-curricular is like after school activities, sports, etc) 2) Google Drive Folders: 1) Find the email from A Esmail that has your very own Science folder. 2) Click on “Open” 3) Then click on "Save to Drive" at the top right 4) After this then go to your google Drive 5) Open the new science folder 6) Create a new google doc called “G8 YOUR NAME Warmup” 7) At the top of the document type "Aug 27 1) Student Survey" 8) Then you are finished 3) Introduction and Success Story Mr. Couts will give a little introduction to about who he is and what class is like. 4) Introduction to Syllabus: Discussion about the syllabus. Decoding the Expectations on Posters. This will then be turned into behavior contracts next week. 5) Group/Icebreaker Activities (Shrinking Island) Students participated in a get to know you icebreaker called shrinking island. 6) Preview of Next Class (Random Lab) Next class will be a random lab with materials. |
